Who Calls Rush Limbaugh?

Have you ever wondered what type of people call Rush Limbaugh?  Now, we have a rare glimpse at just who lights up the telephone lines.

They're paid actors!

Premiere On Call is, as the article notes, a service offered by Premiere Radio Networks. However, it doesn't stop there.  The latter is a subsidiary of Clear Channel Communications and, worse, Premiere Radio Networks' syndication list includes not only Limbaugh but also Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity.

What's happening here is ratings and, in this scam, Premiere On Call hires actors to call into the programs its parent company syndicates.   Apparently, these actors are paid $40 per hour, and they have at least one hour guaranteed each day.

"All of the actors I questioned reported receiving scripts, calling in to real shows, pretending to be real people. Frequently, one actor said, the calls were live, sometimes recorded in advance..."

You have to wonder how many of these actors are hired to portray "liberals" in order to give Limbaugh, Beck and Hannity the opportunity to bash unions, minorities, homosexuals and government programs that aid the poor while the radio hosts become, in reality, shills for conservatives and/or the Republican Party.

Limbaugh spends a large amount of time claiming to be a harbinger of truth, yet his program apparently uses paid actors, using scripts, to light up the telephone lines.

Isn't this a commentary on the lack of morality one finds among hate radio's more prominent hosts?
